After entertaining test series bitter rivals England and Australia will meet for the shortest version of the game as first of the 2 match T20 series will be played on Sunday, 30th August, 2009 at Old Trafford, Manchester from 14:30 local, 13:30 GMT, 7.00 PM IST.

England is high on confidence after Ashes win, and will try to dominate the shortest form under the captaincy of Paul Collingwood. Ravi Bopra after dropped for test series back in form with 2 centuries for Essesx. Joe Denly made 67 runs on his debut against Ireland in ODI while all the eye's on Jonathan Trott after century in his debut.

Australia will be without Ricky Ponting and the lost their last 5 T20 matches and failed to qualify for the 2nd round in Twenty20 world cup. David Hussey hit a brilliant hundred against Scotland. Brett Lee has come back in team after missed Ashes while all the eyes on Dirk Nannes who will now play for his birth country Australia instead of Netherlands. Tim Paine will keep the glouse in place of injured Haddin.
