In the opening game of 2012 Twenty20 World Cup, host Sri Lanka will take Zimbabwe in Group C game on Tuesday, 18th September, 2012 at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium, Hambantota, in a day-night game and timing will be 14:00 GMT, 19:30 local, 19:30 IST.
Sri Lanka has a good chance to win their maiden T20 WC at home. They have very good batting line up with Dlishan, Jayawardhane and cricketer of the year Kumara Sangakkara at the top. Malinga, Mendis and Herath will be key in their campaign.
Zimbabwe on the other hand will try to make upset in the tight group. Hamilton Masakadza, Vusi Sibandaa and Brendan Taylor will be key and their form will define their stay in the tournament.
