IND v AFG T20 WC 3rd Match Result - Virat and Yuvraj stars in India's 23 runs win

India managed to win the 3rd match of 2012 Twenty20 World Cup against fighting Afghanistan by 23 runs and avoided any upset on Wednesday, 19h September, 2012 at Colombo. IND made 159/5 in 20 overs and Afghanistan all out on 136 runs in 19.3 overs.

India got a bad start an lost both the openers on 22 runs in 4 overs but inform Kohli first put 46 runs with Yuvraj 18 in 6 overs and then another 46 runs with Raina 38 runs on his way to 50 runs in 39 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes. India were in more trouble if Afghanistan took 4-5 catches.

Afghanistan got a decent start and they were 52-1 in 7 overs but double strike by Yuvraj Singh in 12 th over put them on back foot. Mohammad Nabi threatened with 17 balls 31 runs but few quick wickets restricted them to 136. Yuvraj and Balaji took 3 wickets each.
